Bhopal: A bizarre drama played out in a family court in Madhya Pradesh on Saturday when a couple fighting for divorce abandoned their five-day-old child in the midst of hearing and fled.
The court at Jatara in Tikamgarh district was taken aback by the development and ordered police to rush the baby to the nearby hospital to provide him proper medical care.
The warring couple- Sangeeta and Manoj Ahibar attended the court for the hearing of their divorce case. While Sangeet demanded maintenance, Manoj rejected her plea arguing he did not father the child. Infuriated over this, both left the child in the court and walked out in a huff.
