Hyderabad: Hyderabad police commissioner Anjani Kumar on Friday ordered temporary closure of wine and toddy shops in different areas of Hyderabad in view of the upcoming Bonalu festival.
The order said toddy/ wine shops and bars in hotels and clubs will remain closed from the evening of July 29 to the evening of July 31. The order will be effective in areas covered by the north and central zone of the Hyderabad police commissionerate including Gopalpuram, Mahankali, Begumpet and Chilkalguda.
