APNGO associations told to strike truce

Bhagyanagar Association was prepared to remove its signboards from the premises at Gunfoundry.

Hyderabad: The Hyderabad High Court on Thursday told the AP Non Gazetted Officers' Association to withdraw the notices issued to Bhagyanagar Telangana Non Gazetted Officers' Association. The court also asked the latter to remove boards that were erected in the APNGOs’ Bhavan at Gunfoundry.

A division bench comprising Acting Chief Justice Ramesh Ranganathan and Justice T. Rajani was dealing with an appeal by the Bhagyanagar Association challenging an order of the single judge staying the order of the state government allotting some portion in APNGOs Home at Gunfoundry to the Bhagyanagar Association.

A. Sudarshan Reddy, senior counsel appearing for Bhagyanagar Association submitted that in fact the members of the association were originally members of the APNGOs Association and this membership was continuing. He said that restraining their entry into the Bhavan was not proper.

He said that the Bhagyanagar Association was prepared to remove its signboards from the premises at Gunfoundry.

The bench advised members of both the associations to maintain cordial relations and resolve the issue in accordance with provisions of the Cooperative Societies Act and said that there was no scope for the government to get involved in the dispute between the associations.

The bench adjourned the case to Monday.
