Leopard found dead in Devarkadra mandal
The police and forest department rushed to the scene and collected the remains of the leopard.
Hyderabad: A leopard was found dead on the railway track in Devarkadra mandal, about 130 km from the city. It is suspected that it was hit by a train while crossing the track between Vekatayapally and Kotakadra.
The accident is suspected to have occurred on Tuesday night and the carcass was noticed on Wednesday by passersby who immediately notified the railway personnel.
The police and forest department rushed to the scene and collected the remains of the leopard. Forest officials stated that a count of the wild animals near railway tracks will be maintained and steps taken to ensure that they animals do not have to cross the railway tracks.
