Bengaluru: The wait for the CET seat allotment continued with the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) announcing that the mock allotment results would be announced on Tuesday and real allotment results would be announced on July 1. The KEA is forced to reschedule the calendar of events following the delay in the announcement of the medical and dental seat matrix.
According to officials, they are yet to receive the dental seat matrix. Students allege that as per the original schedule, the real seat allotment results should have been announced on Monday.
“As per the notification published on the KEA website, the dental seat matrix was not made available. Only the dental provisional seat matrix was available,” said a student.
Issue
According to the students, those students who do not obtain MBBS seats opt for dental seats. “For many students it is either medical or dental. I wanted to opt for dental after medical. June 30 is the last date to make the options entry. But the dental seat matrix is not uploaded,” said Shreya Shetty, a student from Malleshwaram. Officials informed that they had uploaded all the information regarding the seat allotment process on the KEA website.
“The state government should announce the seat matrix for dental courses. Till now we have received only the provisional list. Once we receive the final list, will it be uploaded to ensure that students could make their selection,” said a senior officer.
