People wanted BJP at Centre: Kalvakuntla Kavitha

“Whether or not we have any posts, we will make every effort to realise the dream of Golden Telangana.

Nizamabad: In what could be her first public comments after the Lok Sabha elections, former Nizamabad MP Kalvakuntla Kavitha said that the people had voted for the BJP to form government at the Centre instead of the TRS.

Of her own defeat, Ms Kavitha said: “The Telangana movement taught me to maintain decorum in defeat. Up and downs are common in democracy and politics and I will continue to work with the people,” she said.

“Whether or not we have any posts, we will make every effort to realise the dream of Golden Telangana. I will be available to every worker and the citizen of the constituency,” Ms Kavitha said.

Ms Kavitha along with transport minister V. Prashanth Reddy visited Manchippa in Mopal mandal to console the family members of TRS activist Kishore, who died of a cardiac arrest after the election results were announced.

Speaking to media, Ms Kavitha said, “I will work for the development of Nizamabad and the state.” She hoped that new MP Dharmapuri Arvind and BJP government will work for the development of Nizamabad. She said that TRS will help the family members of late Kishore.
