Bengaluru: The rain did not deter the spirit of novelist, photographer, journalist and activist Pankaj Sekhsaria, as he launched his latest read Island in Flux at Atta Galatta on Saturday.
A full house audience listened to the author intently as he spoke passionately about his research of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. The book was launched by theatre personality Prasanna. In his address Prasanna said, "This book isn't the kind that wants to be popular. This book is the kind that wants to be read. This book is a rare balance of expression and creativity, something that is difficult to come across." Dressed in a green casual cotton kurta, Pankaj looked more of an activist than author. "This is not a solution to the Island's problems, but an acknowledgement of the problems that exist. If they are not taken into consideration, we would only be making ourselves vulnerable."
