Hyderabad: Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation commissioner M. Dana Kishore on Saturday inspected the Charminar Pedestrianisation Project (CPP) and asked the officials to expedite the land acquisition process to take up the development activities. Mr Kishore also instructed the officials to make special arrangements for Ramzan which falls in May first week.
Mr Kishore instructed officials to expedite the works of skywalks under the Strategic Road Development Plan which were taken up at Bahadurpura, Owaisi and Chandrayangutta junctions.
He asked the town planning officials to expedite the land acquisition for these projects. He also instructed official to redesign the shops in the vicinity of Charminar replicating the Deccan style.
Mr Kishore also asked the civic officials to raise tents at Macca Masjid during the month of Ramzan and provide drinking water facilities.
