Chennai: Class 10 results to be announced tomorrow

More than 9.59 lakh regular students and 38,176 private candidates appeared for the examination conducted by the state board this year.

Chennai: The Directorate of Government Examinations will release results for Class 10 (SSLC) at 9.30 am on Monday (April 29). The examination was conducted in March this year.

More than 9.59 lakh regular students and 38,176 private candidates appeared for the examination conducted by the state board this year.

In the last academic year, more than 10.01 lakh students had appeared for class 10 exams and the overall pass percentage in the examination was 94.5 per cent. While 96.4 per cent of girls cleared the examination 92.5 per cent of boys passed the exam last year.

Students can check the results in the following websites: www.tnresults.nic.in, www.dge1.tn.nic.in, and www.dge2.tn.nic.in. Students can also check their results at National Informatics Centre in the District collector offices, at their respective schools and government libraries.

The authorities have also made efforts to send SMS to students to their registered mobile numbers regarding the results and marks scored by them.

Soon after declaring the results students can download the mark sheets from the official website of Directorate of Government Examinations-http://tnresults.nic.in. Provisional mark sheets will be issued from May 2, at the respective schools and the students are allowed to download it from www.dge.tn.nic.in from May 6.

Students can apply for re-evaluation from May 2 to 4 through their respective schools. The re-evaluation fee is Rs 305 for language papers and Rs 205 for other subjects. The supplementary exams will be held from June 14 to June 22, 2019.

Ahead of the result announcement on Monday, helplines in the city have advised students against taking any extreme steps such as self-harm and suicide. At 104, the State Health Department’s round the clock helpline, counsellors are ready to answer queries on fear, anxiety, stress management and depression.
