Hyderabad: A constable attached to Maddur police station in Siddipet district was caught with his illicit partner by his wife and her parents at a house in Cheriyal on Friday morning.
High drama prevailed at the house taken on rent by the policeman as his wife and family caught him redhanded with his paramour. The constable G. Ramesh and his lover Anusha were beaten up and handed over to Cheriyal police.
The accused Ramesh has been married since 12 years and has two daughters. His wife Mamatha said that since last July, he was finding reasons to avoid her. "He was staying away from the family since the past few months. I thought he went away as part of work. But whenever he used to come home, he always used to be busy over phone till midnight which raised my doubts,” she said. Mamatha later found out that Ramesh was residing at Cheriyal by taking a room on rent. Later, she took the help of her family members in revealing his illicit relationship.
Circle Inspector of Cheriyal L. Reghu said that Ramesh has a one-month-old daughter in his second relationship with Anusha. Anusha is already married and was planning to divorce her husband. She had approached Maddur police station with a complaint against her husband last year and has been in touch with Ramesh since then.
Commissioner of Police D. Joel Davis suspended Constable Ramesh immediately. The Cheriyal police filed cases against Ramesh under Section 498 (A) and other sections.
