Udhayanidhi Stalin asks voters to eject BJP government

‘BJP-led NDA government destroyed small, medium industry sector’.

OOTY: A day after the filing of nominations were over, electioneering began to catch up in the Nilgiris with Udhayanidhi Stalin landing in the hills as the first VIP campaigner to seek votes for A. Raja, DMK candidate here in the Nilgiris (SC) constituency.

While the crowd turnout for Udhayanidhi's meet was rather unimpressive, he utilised the opportunity to train his guns at Prime Minister Modi and Chief Minister Edappadi Palaniswamy. Saying that the time has come to make amends for the mistake done five years ago by electing Modi, he charged that Modi had failed to take the nation on the development path.

Touching upon demonetisation and GST, he said that the BJP-led NDA government played havoc with the economy of the small and medium industry sector and pushed the economy down. Appealing to people to vote against the NDA government to punish them for their misrule, Udhayanidhi said that the EPS-OPS combination had failed to deliver to the people of the state, and instead, had been playing second fiddle to the BJP government, forgetting the welfare and development of Tamil Nadu.

He assured that the DMK would take steps to find solutions to the issues engulfing the Nilgiris and said that the election manifesto of the DMK assured various schemes for the welfare of Tamil Nadu.
