Nizamabad: The condition of the diarrhoea victims is reported to be stable in Komalancha, Mugdumpur and Galipur villages in Nizamsagar mandal of Kamareddy district on Wednesday.
Three persons had succumbed on Tuesday, while undergoing treatment. Of the 300 victims, most of them have been discharged from the medical camps.
Around 50 victims are being treated in their respective villages and the Government Area Hospital in Banswada.
Kamareddy district collector N. Satyanarayana, joint collector P. Yadi Reddy and other officials visited the diarrhoea affected villages on Wednesday.
The state and district medical and health department officials are reviewing the situation.
To prevent deaths due to diarrhoea, medical camps continued to stay put in the three villages. The collector has directed the medical teams to take special care of the victims.
Meanwhile, a water testing report has revealed that water was contaminated in a house in Komalancha village.
After a feast, the villagers had eaten ice-creams. Soon after they complained of loose motions and vomiting.
Four year-old Salitadigari Ruchita and seven-year-old Dadge Satyanarayana from Komalancha village died on Tuesday. Officials said that water in other sources in the villages was safe.
Officials immediately carried out raids on ice-cream shops in Banswada division on Wednesday. Reportedly, they also collected water and ice-cream samples from shops. Few ice cream shop owners shut shop and disappeared on Wednesday....
