BJP leader Muralidhar Rao denies claims of cheating

T. Pravarna Reddy had complained that eight persons including the Muralidhar Rao had cheated her by taking money.

Hyderabad: BJP national general Secretary P. Muralidhar Rao denied the allegations that he was involved in cheating and threatening a couple, for which a case was registered at Saroornagar police station.

In the statement issued regarding the case on Wednesday through social media, Mr Rao said that he was informed on Tuesday (March 25, 2019) about the case (Cr no 214/2019) registered against him at Saroornagar police following the directions of a court.

T. Pravarna Reddy had complained that eight persons including the Mr Rao had cheated her by taking money from her and her husband Mahipal Reddy, promising a nominated post in a Central government department.

“The allegations in the complaint in the FIR are clearly false. In fact, in 2016, I lodged a complaint regarding the false allegations being made at the Parliament Street police station in New Delhi,” he said.
