Vijayawada: Norman Foster and Partners’ designs for Amaravati capital city construction are getting a poor response from netizens.
Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and Minister for MA&UD Dr. P. Narayana had given a PowerPoint presentation on the designs two days ago.
The pages for Amaravati designs on Twitter, Facebook, You Tube and APCRDA website have got very minimal and discouraging response.
“Due to lack of strategic publicity by CRDA’s consultants, the Norman Foster designs have got very poor response,” a senior official of the organisation told this correspondent.
While APCRDA web page got 1,000 views, 170 wrote comments, 158 liked the designs and 12 disliked by 11 am on Monday.
On Facebook, there were 134 likes, 41 shares and 55 comments only by the same time.
For You Tube page, there were 2,904 viewers, 49 likes, seven dislikes and 18 comments. On Twitter page, there were 90 likes for the designs, 61 tweets and 67 comments.
The CRDA and the Chief Minister had anticipated a huge response from the public and elite sections. “But, we are disappointed. Might be some interesting element is missing from the pages,” another senior official said.
