Hyderabad: A girl student attempted suicide by jumping off a CA coaching institute building where she joined the session two days ago.
The incident happened at KPHB area in Kukatpally on Sunday morning. According to information gathered by the police, N. Sravani, a native of Karimnagar, came to the city to prepare and appear for CA examination. Institute staff and others who witnessed the incident rushed her to a hospital. According to hospital sources, she suffered a fracture and head injury.
Police learned that the girl’s father had recently scolded her over her suspected relationship with a boy. When confronted, the girl had denied this and told her parents that a boy was harassing her, but she was not into any relationship with him. However, her parents did not believe in what she said.
Police suspect that this was the reason why she got depressed and jumped from the building. Her condition remained serious in hospital.
