Hyderabad: 3 killed, 4 hurt after truck rams into car

A case has been registered against the driver of the accused vehicle and he has been taken into custody for questioning.

Hyderabad: Three people were killed and two others injured when the car in which they were in collided with a lorry at Debbedaguda in Rangareddy district on Wednesday. The injured were rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment and a case of causing death due to negligence was registered against the lorry driver.

Pambala Anand, 30, a marketing manager and Surender, 27, supervisor of a poultry farm died on the spot. Their associates Jillamoni Shiva, Morri Srikanth and Md Fukran, 27, all residents of Arutla village received severe injuries.

He said that the injured people were pulled out of the car. Shiva and Srikanth were admitted to Gandhi Hospital and Fukran was shifted to Kamineni Hospital for treatment, where Fukran succumbed to his injuries.

“The lorry driver was speeding and tried to overtake another vehicle and then rammed into the oncoming car. A case has been registered against the driver of the accused vehicle and he has been taken into custody for questioning. The bodies of the deceased have been kept at Gandhi Hospital mortuary for the autopsy,” said Inspector Jangaiah.
