AIADMK MP suffers minor injury after fall at Chennai airport
Chennai: AIADMK MP A. Navaneethakrishnan suffered minor injury on his shoulder when he slipped in a puddle in front of a rest room at Chennai airport on his arrival from Delhi on Friday night.
According to airport sources, the Rajya Sabha MP, who landed at Chennai airport around 11.30 pm, went to the rest room and when he stepped out he fell on his left shoulder. “He suffered minor injury and was taken to a clinic
inside the airport,” a source said.
Airport staff and security personnel helped him to get on his feet after he slipped on the floor. There was no external injury but a muscle spasm had troubled the MP, who was lamenting about the poor condition of Chennai airport, which had witnessed glass breaks at least 55 times in the last two years.
He collected written details of his fall and medical condition from the doctor before leaving the place. The MP was escorted out of the airport 30 minutes later by airport staff and security men.
It may be recalled that the Chennai airport taps ran dry a couple days back and the employees had to fill VIP lounge rest room with mineral water because a union minister was present there at that time.
