The villagers had vandalised his house and set it ablaze. For the last eight months, his family has abandoned the house.

Speaking to the media, a villager said, “None of the family members of Srinivas Reddy have come back to the house. Now the girls in the village feel safer. About 12 cameras have been installed and two buses have been arranged to the village. People like him should face severe punishment.”

The elder sister of one of the victims, said, “My sister went missing on April 22, and her remains were found in the same month. He (Srinivas Reddy) was arrested long ago but he is not yet hanged. How many girls should suffer like my sister? People like him will do such offences if they are set free, and we demand the death penalty.”
