Hyderabad: Asha Bhosle has been selected for the Yash Chopra National Memorial Award 2017 instituted by T. Subbarami Reddy Foundation. The award, which carries a cash prize of Rs 10 lakh and a Swarna Kankanam will be presented to her in Mumbai on February 16.
Mr Reddy of the foundation said, “Asha Bhosle is the best-known playback singer in Hindi cinema who has sung in over 1,000 Bollywood movies.”
Maharashtra governor, C. H. Vidyasagar Rao and Lata Mangeshkar will hand over the award to Asha Bhosle.
