Visakhapatnam: A soldier from AP, Sepoy Mamidi Nagaraju, was among the 20 Army personnel killed avalanches in the Gurez Sector of Jammu and Kashmir.
Sepoy Nagaraju, from Maradam in Dattirajeru mandal in Vizianagaram district, had joined the Army about seven years ago. He married his relative, Anusha, 24, in April last year.
Ms Anusha is a Intermediate pass out. Sepoy Nagaraju’s family, comprising parents Gowri Naidu and Lakshmi, wife Anusha, and his younger siblings, were informed by Army officers about his death.
“My husband was the only hope and earning member of our family. I do not know how I will survive without my husband,” said Ms Anusha. His father is a small farmer who grows vegetables. His younger brother and sister are in college.
