Centre Will Lay Rajahmundry-Lambasingi Highway: Purandeswari

Kakinada: Bharatiya Janata Party state president D. Purandeswari announced that the central government will develop a new national highway from Rajamahendravaram to Lambasingi in Alluri Seetharama Raju district soon.

Speaking to media in Rajamahendravaram on Wednesday, she maintained that the union government has been allocating funds for development of Andhra Pradesh. But Telugu Desam in the past and now ruling YSRC have claimed the schemes as their own. They have also changed the nomenclature of the scheme, ignoring the centre.

The party state president said BJP has taken the matter very seriously. It has made it clear to the state government that it should change its attitude and give preference to the central government.

Purandeswari underlined that the medical college and ESI hospital at Rajamahendravaram and fly-over bridge at Morampudi are being constructed with funds from the central government, which has also sanctioned 6,000 drinking water connections under Jal Jeevan Mission.

She pointed out that the YSRC government is facing corruption charges. People should rethink whether they need such a government in AP. She asked people to provide BJP an opportunity to render services to them in Andhra Pradesh.

The BJP state president said private hospitals are not accepting Aarogyasri cards of the state government. However, centre’s Ayushman Bhava scheme is being implemented in all hospitals.

BJP national executive member Somu Veerraju, party state general secretary Sagi Kasi Viswanatha Raju and BJP district president Bommula Dattu were among those present.
