Man nabbed for friend's murder over married lady in Hyderabad

when the car was being serviced, the staff found bloodstains in it and tipped off the police, who nabbed the murderer.

Hyderabad: In what looks and sounds like the plot of a suspense noir film, two friends, both in love with the same married lady, fought over her and one of them killed the other, brutally in a planned cold-blooded murder and set his body on fire in the city outskirts under Shamshabad police station limits.

However, in a sudden, unexpected turn of events, later when the car was being serviced, the staff found bloodstains in it and tipped off the police, who nabbed the murderer, J. Ramesh and his partners-in-crime, on Monday night.

The deceased was identified as V. Mahesh Goud, a 25 year old resident of Jummerat Bazar in Old City.

“Mahesh runs a Kirana shop in the area where Ramesh’s paramour, a married woman, was residing. For the past few weeks, Mahesh started getting close to her and this infuriated Ramesh, who warned him several times to back off and leave her alone,” said DCP of Shamshabad Zone, PV Padmaja.

However, when the affair continued, the lady’s husband moved out of the area with her. This infuriated Ramesh. When Mahesh did not accede to his repeated requests and warnings, he hatched a plot to murder him with the help of his cronies, Padala Naresh, 27, Myadari Shiva, 26 and Guddeti Yadaiah, 60.

“He purchased a knife specially for this diabolical purpose and concealed it in his back pocket. Then he suggested a trip to Maisigandi temple at Kadthal.
“The gang took off in a car bearing the number TS 13 UA 9517 and purchased beer bottles, with Mahesh being given plenty to get him drunk. “On Sunday night, as they were coming back to the city from Medchal, Ramesh held Mahesh’s head back, slit his throat and stabbed him several times.

“Later, they purchased petrol from Palamakula petrol station and doused the victim with it, then set him on fire at Madanpally,” the police said.

The Shamshabad police arrested him for murder and the rest for abetting the offence and sent them to judicial remand.
