Hyderabad: Brothel organisers are making a beeline to the new colonies in Rajendranagar, Mailardevpally, Shamshabad and Balapur as they have become a safe haven for them.
The Rachakonda special police team busted a sex racket in Balapur police station area and arrested four organisers and rescued nine women, including a few local girls.
According to Syed Rafeeqa, additional DCP SOT Rachakonda, the pimps take houses on rent at Errakunta to organise flesh trade. “Some new colonies have come up. Sex racketeers are taking these houses on rent,” said the official.
Another gang was busted by the Rajendranagar police last month. The pimp had rented two apartments and was organising the racket. A minor girl was rescued along with four persons.
According to sources, sex rackets are organised in P and T Colony and Sun City in Rajendranagar by a single person.
A few months ago, the SOT Shamshabad busted a racket at Guntal Baba in Mailardevpally. Four women were rescued and the pimp was held.
However, the local residents alleged that sex racket is still thriving. Mr Nadeem Ahmed, a local resident, said that some persons had taken houses on rent and are indulging in immoral activities.
