The new drainage was proposed to flush out drain water from Tapovanam circle area towards AP Oil Federation office in Anantapur.

Building and land owners sent series of representations to the NHAI authorities seeking completion of drainage.

A group of builders and land owners were spending on their own as temporary measures to keep premises clean.

“But, the authorities were ignoring our difficulties. Proposals are pending with central office,” building owner and YSRC leader Rangampeta Gopal Reddy said, adding that he used JCB machine to leveling the area. He further threatened to block the NH -44 Road to mount pressure on the agency.
