Azhar approaches HC against biased poll panel and police officials

Hyderabad: Former Indian cricket team captain Mohd. Azharuddin, who is contesting the Jubilee Hills Assembly seat on the Congress ticket, approached the Telangana High Court, complaining that the Election Commission of India, election officers and the Telangana police were not considering their complaints.

Azharuddin submitted to the court that one rowdy sheeter Tannu Khan and his aides were threatening the constituency voters against voting for him. Further, he submitted that Khan was acting in favour of Maganti Gopinath, his BRS opponent. According to the petitioner, he had submitted the complaints to the Election officers and the police to take action against the said rowdy sheeter but they did not act.
