In clusters like residential schools, the spread of the virus is fast and the students have to practice hand hygiene and have to cover their mouths while sneezing or coughing which can help to curtail the spread of the virus.
Kollam: The two-day Kollam district revenue school arts festival commenced here at Vimala Hridaya school on Monday. Around 4,500 students will take part in various competition items held for the students from high schools and higher secondary schools in 16 venues in the city. The food mess for participants and officials has been set up at Sarada marriage hall at Randamkutti.
Special arrangements have been made for the transportation of students to various venues. On the first day of events, Kollam district was leading with 20 points in the high school category while Chathannoor with 23 points was leading in the Higher secondary category. Over 50 students are in the fray with the appeals they secured on various grounds.
