Bengaluru: A complaint has been filed against the Pejawar Math seer Vishwesha Teertha Swamiji at the Jnanabharathi police station for his alleged “insulting remarks on the Constitution of India” by calling it “incorrect” and "biased". The complaint filed on Saturday by the Postgraduate and Research Students’ Federation of the Bangalore University stated that the seer during the Dharma Sansad, organised by the Vishwa Hindu Parishad in Udupi, said, “The Indian Constitution is in complete and biased and I don’t accept it”, which was an insult to the Constitution and amounts to violation of fundamental duties.
The complainants further said that the seer had termed the Constitution biased and said that it had unequal laws for the country's majority and minority. He had even asked the central government to intervene and change the Constitution.
The federation has asked the police to take action against the seer for his remarks, which they said were against the national interest.
