New vehicles in different colours are being displayed in the city in newly decorated showrooms. In the last two years, the number of showrooms has increased. Those existing have been remodelled to look modern and in tune with times.
The latest company to open its showroom in the Capital city is Jaguar. Jeep, Skoda, Mercedes, Honda, Volkswagen, Volvo and other companies also have their showrooms in the city and on the outskirts. In the two-wheeler sector, Royal Enfield and KTM have their showrooms. The manager of Volkswagen showroom, Rakesh, said that the number of customers buying cars has increased in the last couple of year.
With the works of the Capital city going on at a fast pace, the business of these companies has also been growing, a sales manager of the company said. Rohin Nagrani, sales manager of Jaguar showroom said: "We have found good potential in this region. People in the coastal region are wealthy enough to afford our vehicle," he said, adding that people here have a passion to own good vehicles.
According to our report, there is an increase of 32 pc in the sales of the four-wheelers in Vijayawada in the last two years, he informed. K. Vijay, manager of Royal Enfield showroom in the city, said that they are happy with the response they are receiving. "Two years ago, we feared if our business would run. Now, we know that people here do have a passion to own a Royal Enfield.”
