Visakhapatnam: Holiday Expo-2018 ( a three-day travel and trade exhibition providing B2B and B2C visitors an inroad to striking new destinations) was opened at Vizag Convention, near the Cricket Stadium at PM Palem in Vizag city, on Friday and it has been drawing a good number of prospective tourists.
State Tourism Boards of Andhra Pradesh, West Bengal, Gujarat, Jharkhand, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Kerala, Maharashtra and few other states have opened their stalls and the expo was inaugurated by chairman of Visakhapatnam Metropolitan Regional Development Authority P. Basanth Kumar.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr Basanth Kumar said that the expo will be much useful to the Vizagites who wish to travel to various places in the country as one can get all the details here.
“The expo provides a platform to tourists to interact with representatives of State Tourism Boards, apart from tour operators, and know about the packages on offer,” he said.
The aim of the Expo is to reach out to the travel professionals in Tier II and III cities and explore the potential of these cities. Holiday Expo is perfect for the upcoming holiday season in India as Diwali vacations are just round-the-corner with Winter vacations and long weekends as well as round-the-year travel and business plans.
