Thiruvananthapuram: Cricket lovers can book India Vs West Indies ODI tickets via Akshaya Centres. The Kerala Cricket Association has tied up with State IT Mission to sell tickets across the state via 2700 Akshaya Centres.
Currently, the tickets are being sold through online sites – Paytm and Insider. From Saturday onwards tickets sale will be made available from Akshaya centres. Children above three years of age should take a ticket for watching the game. A person will be able to take six tickets using his/her mail ID.
There are around 234 Akshaya Centres in Thiruvananthapuram district alone. The tickets rates are fixed at Rs 1000, Rs 2000 and Rs 3000. Those wanting to buy tickets should provide an e-mail ID and mobile number. Ticket confirmation will be sent as an e-mail and text message.
A service charge fixed by the government will be collected for booking tickets.
Special parking zones
The police authorities have assigned designated parking zones in and around the Green Field International Stadium to facilitate the conduct of ODI between India and West Indies, to be held on November 1.
The police authorities have decided to allow entry of vehicles with car pass inside the stadium. Other vehicles can be parked at designated parking lots at LNCP Ground, Govern-ment College Karyavattom and Karyavattom Bed. Centre.
The police have also arranged an additional parking space at Al- Saj Convention Centre grou-nd. Two-wheeler parking has been arranged at the three grounds located on the western side of the green field stadium.
Parking for media and police vehicles have been arranged at the parking ground of Highway Rese-arch Centre Institute. Add-itional vehicles can be par-ked at the ground behind the mosque.
Traffic authorities have strictly restricted the parking of vehicles along the Sreekaryam – Kazhakoot-tam stretch. Parking will not be allowed at the stretch from Karyavattom Muslim Jumath Road to Kurisadi.
Heavy vehicles going from Thiruvananthap-uram to Kollam should take the road via Ulloor- Akkulam – Kuz-hivila – Bypass. Vehic-les coming from Koll-am to Thiruvanantha-puram should go via Vetturoad – Kattayiko-nam – Chempazhanthi – Sreekaryam road. The vehicles coming to the stadium should take the road via Ulloor – Sreekaryam – Karyavattom.
