Hyderabad: Hyderabad city is seeing heavy security as the monsoon session of the Telangana Legislature is readying to begin from Friday.
In the wake of the Chalo Assembly call given by the opposition parties, TS police have made extensive security arrangements for the smooth functioning of the session. While prohibitory orders are already in place, scores of activists from opposition parties were detained in different parts of the state. 3000 police personnel and paramilitary forces are deployed at the Assembly.
City police commissioner M. Mahender Reddy said that three-tier security arrangements are in place till the completion of the session. “Measures have been taken for anti sabotage checks. Only authorised persons will be allowed into the premises. The whole area is brought under surveillance. People should cooperate with police to avoid any disturbances,” the commissioner said.
