Srinagar: The Indian army on Thursday foiled an infiltration bid in Tangdhar sector, along the Line of Control (LoC) in Kashmir.
One army jawan was martyred and another injured in the operation, said reports.
Meanwhile, Pakistan violated ceasefire in Mendhar sector of Jammu and Kashmir, as well as KG sector of Poonch, using small arms, automatics and 82mm mortars.
Reports said the fighting was on as the army retaliated effectively to the transgressions.
