Kottayam: The counting of votes for Pala bypoll will be held on Friday at the Carmel public school auditorium from 8 am.
The postal ballots sent through electronic system and ordinary postal ballots will be counted first. After that the votes from voting machines will be counted. Fourteen tables were arranged for counting. Among them, 13 rounds of counting will be held at tables 1 to 8 and 12 rounds of counting will be held at tables 9 to 14.
A total of 1,27,939 people voted in the Pala assembly constituency on
the polling day and the polling percentage was 71.48.
The highest polling percentage of 83.78 percent was recorded at the
booth number 60 of the Vellany government LP School and the booth
number 147 of the Vilakkumadom government LP School.
