Ministers should speak in responsible way: Pon Radhakrishnan

I have criticised the AIADMK government on several occasions but did not stoop down,Mr Radhakrishnan asked said.

Chennai: Taking a strong exception to Agriculture Minister R. Duraikannu for his “chop the tongues” remark, Union Minister of State for Finance and Shipping Pon Radhakrishnan, said Ministers should speak in a responsible manner and desist from inciting violence.

“Ministers should uphold the dignity of their office and behave in a responsible manner. They should not incite violence by uttering thus,”

Mr Radhakrishnan said reacting to the Agriculture Minister warning those criticising the AIADMK government will have their tongues chopped off.

“This is highly improper of a Minister to say the tongues of those speaking against the AIADMK will be chopped off. I have criticised the AIADMK government on several occasions but did not stoop down. Does it mean he will chop off my tongue? If this measure is resorted, then what will happen to Tamil Nadu” Mr Radhakrishnan asked.
