New stent for IMA kingpin Mansoor Khan

Khan complained of severe chest pain on Friday following which he was taken to Victoria Hospital for treatment.

Bengaluru: Mohammad Mansoor Khan, I Monetary Advisory (IMA) MD and kingpin of the multi-crore investment scam underwent a stent placement surgery at Jayadeva Hospital after he complained of severe heart pain at the Parappana Agrahara Central Prison.

Mansoor Khan, who was interrogated by Enforcement Directorate (ED) and subsequently by Special Investigation Team (SIT) in connection with money laundering, fraudulent transactions and for cheating over 50,000 investors to the tune of over Rs. 4,000 crore, is under judicial custody till August 30.

Khan complained of severe chest pain on Friday following which he was taken to Victoria Hospital for treatment. He was shifted to Jayadeva Hospital where he underwent stent placement. He was discharged after two days and sent back to Parappana Agrahara Central Prison.

Before Khan was arrested on July 15 by the sleuths of ED from New Delhi airport when he arrived from Dubai, Khan had released a video in which he complained of severe chest pain and an urgency to undergo surgery for artery blockages.

Khan was taken for treatment by ED and SIT sleuths when he was in their custody.
