Bengaluru police chief lauds kids of cops
Bengaluru: Police families in the city proudly witnessed their children being presented awards for their academic performance and extracurricular achievements by City Police Commissioner Bhaskar Rao at his office on Infantry Road on Monday.
In all, 231 children who excelled in the last academic year's SSLC and pre-university examinations were honoured. Among the children felicitated, 178 were from SSLC and 53 PUC who secured 86 to 99 percent aggregate.
A special mention was made of Nikil, son of a CAR assistant head constable, who secured 99 percent in PUC, and Vandana B.M., daughter of K.R. Puram traffic police station staffer Batheppa, securing 98 percent in PUC. The awards were presented by The Learning Society president Abhay Jain. IGP Hemanth Nimbalkar too was present.
