Hyderabad twin bomb blast: Accused should suffer equally, say victims

After eleven long years of waiting, the verdict will be the final piece that can finally begin the process of healing.

Hyderabad: The victims of the Gokul chat blasts want befitting reply to the perpetrators of the crime. The victims demand similar suffering upon the accused, wishing them years of pain. After eleven long years of waiting, the verdict will be the final piece that can finally begin the process of healing.

While the victims recall the day of loss and suffering, they are also filled with anger and frustration due to the long wait, and are urging the verdict be bestowed in such a way, that the perpetrators suffer relentlessly.

Joshi Narasimha Sharma, a resident of Malakpet, who lost his daughter Pratyusha Joshi, a final year engineering student in the blast said, “They should be punished harshly and show them hell in this world. Governments failed to nab the criminals immediately. They took nearly 4 years to arrest the accused. “ They have been wasting our time and money by transferring the case to different courts, we are fed up with this. We are hoping that at least we will get the justice on the verdict day. Even central government have announced Rs 3 lakh ex gratia for all the people who died in the bomb blast added Sharma.

Expressing his agony 62-year-old Mr Syed Raheem, a survivor of the blast who lost an eye in the blast is still undergoing treatment for his injuries said, “The accused were happily spending their life in Jail, however we are enduring the suffering and pain everyday. I don’t want them to die by hanging. Their hands, legs should be cut off and eyes should be removed and they should spend rest of their life disable and suffering. As many as 62 innocent people died in the blast what sin they did. Why should we suffer without committing any sin. I still have not recovered from that experience.”
