Bengaluru: As a large number of Ganesh idols are expected to be immersed on Sunday and to maintain law and order, the sale of liquor has been banned in all stores that come under the city police commissionerate (North and East Divisions) between 6 am and midnight. City Police Commissioner T. Suneel Kumar has directed all bars and pubs to remain shut in JC Nagar, RT Nagar, Hebbal and Sanjaynagar police limits in North Division and KG Halli, DJ Halli, Bharathi Nagar, Pulkeshi Nagar, Shivaji Nagar and Commercial Street police station limits in East Division.
