If you pick up gun you will die, gun will be with us: Army Chief Bipin Rawat

Srinagar: Army Chief General Bipin Rawat on Friday asked the Kashmiri youth to shun the path of violence and reiterated that their picking up the gun would not let them live long.

Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of the ‘Kargil Vijay Diwas’ celebrations at Drass, he said that any youth who picks up the gun is no longer innocent. He said, “See, anybody who picks up the gun against the Army, the gun and the man will be separated. The man will go to the grave and the gun will be with us”.

He, however, also said, “But this is not the end of everything. We are reaching out to the people to shun the gun and come over ground.”
