Bengaluru: Sacrifice of Kargil martyrs remembered

The event was attended by a large number of senior officers and other staffs.

Bengaluru: Kargil Vijay Diwas was celebrated with fervour across the city. At the National Military Memorial, Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy and Deputy Chief Minister Dr G. Parameshwar participated in a function organised by the Rastriya Sainika Smaraka.

The Army Service Corps celebrated the victory day at ASC Centre & College. Lieutenant General Vipan Gupta, Commandant ASC Centre & College, laid the wreath at the war memorial and paid homage to the Kargil martyrs. The event was attended by a large number of senior officers and other staffs.

Vijaya College, Jayanagar and Sheshadripuram celebrated the day by planting hundreds of saplings.

Two-wheeler manufacturer TVS Motor Company celebrated ‘Kargil Calling – Ride for the Real Stars’. Led by the special Kargil themed TVS StaR City+, which features new decals, and has a combination of the 3 colours of the armed forces - Army (Green), Navy (White) and Air Force (Blue).
