Hyderabad: Mild tension prevailed at Jiyaguda in Kulsumpura area during the foundation stone laying ceremony for 2BHK houses on Wednesday.
Local AIMIM activists, along with Karwan MLA Kausar Mohiuddin staged a demonstration when they found that pictures of party chief Asaduddin Owaisi and the local MLA were missing from the banner.
They accused the local officials and TRS functionaries of deliberately violating protocol. Failing to calm them down, Deputy Chief Minister Mohd. Mahmood Ali left the venue.
Later, pictures of Mr Owaisi and Mr Mohiuddin were pasted on the banner. After the issue was sorted out, minister K.T. Rama Rao, who was the Chief Guest laid the foundation stone.
