Belagavi: As the debate on protection of cows and the ban of cow slaughter gain momentum, the 4th annual meeting of desi cow conservers at Nidoni near Vijayapura passed a resolution on Wednesday to develop at least 11 villages in the state with a capacity to produce at least 200 litres of desi cow milk every day.

The 11 villages should also be able to produce butter, curd and various other products with desi cow milk.

In order to promote the number of desi cows and production of milk and milk products in these villages, the meeting organised by Punyakoti Desi Gou Samvardana Parivara and Savayava Krishi Parivara (SKP) decided to initiate a series of measures with the help of people involved in raising desi cows in various parts of Karnataka, according to member of SKP, M.
