Hyderabad HC tells Telangana, AP to provide infrastructure
HYDERABAD: In a significant ruling regarding Section 75 of the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act 2014, the Hyderabad High Court on Tuesday held that AP and Telangana state had to provide facilities to people of the other states with regard to the institutions listed in the 10th Schedule of the Act.
While expressing concern about the future of students, the court found fault with the action of the Jawaharlal Nehru Architecture & Fine Arts University (JNAFAU) at Hydera-bad in disaffiliating M/s Varaha College of Architecture & Plan-ning at Visakhapatnam on the ground that it was located in AP.
A division bench comprising acting Chief Justice Dilip B. Bhosale and Justice A.V. Sesha Sai was dealing with a petition by M/s Varaha Educational Trust, represented by its managing trustee Kondaveeti Venkata Satyanaraya-na, challenging the order of the JNAFAU issued on November 24, 2015 disaffiliating the college.
