NIZAMABAD: Agriculture minister Pocharam Srinivas Reddy on Tuesday said that oustees of Mallannasagar project in Medak district are “happy” with the R&R package announced by the state government. As per GO 123, the state government is providing suitable compensation and alternative housing to the oustees, he said. Speaking to newsmen here on Tuesday along with MLA B. Ganesh Gupta, Mr Srinivas Reddy said that the Opposition was deliberately provoking the people. The TRS government initiated the Kaleshwaram project with the aim of irrigating one crore acres, and farmers were voluntarily giving their land, he said.
