BENGALURU: Four people, including a one-year-old child, died on the spot after their car hit a road divider and toppled near Kannamangala Palya Gate near Devanahalli on Wednesday evening.
The deceased have been identified as Parvathamma (40), Nagaveni (40), Shashikumar (35) and the one-year-old child. The child’s mother, Divya, was injured.
Two others Chandrasekhar and Ratna were also seriously injured in the accident and are undergoing treatment at a hospital in Bengaluru.
According to police, 11 members of a family, all residents of Shivakote, had been to Puttanagudi near Devanahalli and the accident happened while they were returning.
When their car reached near Kannamangala Palya Gate it hit a bike. The car driver lost control over the vehicle and hit a divider.
The biker, Shashikumar, a delivery boy by profession, too died in the accident.
Devanahalli traffic police have registered a case and are investigating.
