No end to split woes of Telangana, Andhra Pradesh

Assurances given to the Telugu states in the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act are still pending with the Centre.

Hyderabad: After four years of the BJP-led NDA government at the Centre, several bifurcation issues and assurances given to the Telugu states are still pending.

The Centre has failed to resolve the sharing of assets of the 9th and 10th Schedule institutions, and about Rs 8,000 crore belonging to these institutions is parked in banks for the last four years.

Assurances given to the Telugu states in the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act are still pending with the Centre.

Tribal universities and integrated steel plants in both the states have not been established, to mention just two.
