Kozhikode: A 17-year-old boy’s body was found on Friday at Thikkodi near Kodikal beach. The deceased was identified as Muhasin (17) son of Iyyachery Mustafa.
The incident happened in the wee hours of Thursday. Muhzin got drowned while bathing in the sea after playing cricket along with his friend Rahib at near Kodikal beach. The body will be handed over to the relatives after postmortem, said the officials. Koyilandy fire force unit led the search along with locals to trace Muhzin.
The body was found in the early hours of Friday. It was the workers at the beach who saw Muhzin drowning in the sea and later they reported to the local people here. Due to the lack of light, the rescue efforts were difficult, said the official. He is survived by his mother-Nasiha, siblings- Minha and Harsha.
