German University entrance at TVM

There is no need for an IELTS-Test score to study.

Thiruvananthapuram: FH AACHEN University of Applied Science, a government funded university in Germany, will hold entrance examinations for their engineering and business courses in Thiruvananthapuram.

Students with 60 per cent marks in Plus Two can apply for the examinations to be held in May 7. Those awaiting results can also apply. The entrance examination will be held at 9 am at “B-hub”: Mar Ivanios Vidyanagar, Nalanchira, Thiruvananthapuram.

The students who write the examination can take part in a seminar organised by the university and attend a session by a professor from the university on study opportunities there. The courses can be either in English or German. There is no need for an IELTS-Test score to study in the university. Students will also have opportunities for part time job during the period, Mr T.M.S. Kutty, the CEO of Thiruvananthapuram based educational consultant Campus India told Deccan Chronicle who is the Indian representative for the university.

The German government would also provide one year stay back and post study work permit. During the period, one can also apply for permanent residency, said Mr Kutty.

Those applying through the agency will not have to pay separate examination fee or registration fee. Those who wished to apply should register by calling 92495 52555 or 85470 74336, said Mr Kutty.

FH Aachen – Aachen University of Applied Sciences is one of the biggest applied science universities in Germany with roughly 11,300 students, 220 professors, 300 contract lecturers, and 340 assistants. It is specialised in certain topical areas like technology, engineering, business and design. It offered more than 70 degree programmes, nine in-house and three affiliated institutes as well as four competence platforms.

The FH Aachen ranks as the first best among the Universities of Applied Sciences in Germany in the fields of Electrical and Mechanical engineering.

The competences of the university are mainly in the future areas of energy, mobility, and life sciences.
