Bengaluru: Security to be tightened at bus stands

Bengaluru: In the wake of Easter day terror attacks in Sri Lanka, the security has been beefed up at KSRTC and BMTC bus depots in the city.

The two transport corporations in coordination with the police department have decided to increase security at Majestic, Jayanagar, Santhi Nagar, Satellite, Kengeri and other bus stands in the city.

All these bus stands will be under digital scanner and have CCTV cameras. "The cameras will be fixed at the entry and exit points in the bus stands. It will monitor the movements of passengers.” However, a senior BMTC official told Deccan Chronicle that implementing this will take some time.
