Apex court stays proceedings of Jayalalithaa’s death probe
The bench sought repose to the special leave petition filed by the hospital.
New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Friday stayed all further proceedings of the Justice A. Arumugasw-ami Commission of Inq-uiry probing the circu-mstances into the death of former Tamil Nadu chief minister Jayalalithaa at the Apollo hospitals, Chennai in December 2016.
A three judge Bench of Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi and Justices Dee-pak Gupta and Sanjiv Khanna stayed the proceedings after hearing senior counsel Aryama Sundaram for the Apollo hospitals.
The bench sought repose to the special leave petition filed by the hospital.
